Why Would You Want to be like others? This is one of the most moving commercials I have ever seen. Pantene™ is absolutely brilliant. It could be a movie!
This is a Pantene commercial from Thailand. It’s about a deaf and mute girl who learns to play the violin against all odds. Everyone told her it was impossible.
If you want to shine and stand out from the crowd, keep on practicing whatever you do in life. Pursue your dreams.
Why Would You Want to be like others? Can a deaf person really be good at playing a musical instrument? Of course they can! Some of the world’s greatest musicians are deaf. The great Ludwig van Beethoven produced some of his greatest work after he lost his hearing.
Aside from encouraging people to use Pantene, the commercial also drives home a very important point. Having difficulties or problems, such as having a physical handicap, is not a hindrance for somebody to be the best that they can be in life.

OMG! Where did you find this? I never would have guessed it was a commercial until the very end. The music was so beautiful and the message of why would you want to be like others, brought tears to my eyes. If this were a movie, it’d be a tear-jerker for me. I cry at Hallmark commercials! What a wonderful commercial…4 minutes is a little long in the US but it was shot like a movie short – very well done and well said!
